Feverishly Practice Self-Compassion

Whatever you’re feeling today is totally valid. Give yourself the same kind of love, energy, and support you’d give to your very best friend, a loved one, a small child who you care deeply for, or maybe even your younger self. When we try to run from and ignore difficult emotions, the emotion is left to deepen, grow, and potentially create a whole emotional "shit storm."
The best way to move through difficult emotions is to:
allow ourselves to recognize the emotion
name the emotion
provide comfort, compassion, and validation
We may take this a step further by placing hands to the part of our body where we feel this emotion - the heart, stomach, or perhaps even wrapping arms across the chest, hands to shoulders, fully embracing oneself in a hug - and talking to the part of us that is experiencing this emotion, pain, or discomfort.
“My feelings are valid. I am doing the best I can, and learning every day. I am living in alignment with my values and goals. I deserve love and kindness from myself and others.”
✌️💗✨
